Model Colors is a helpful application designed to assist you in keeping track of your hobby model colors and projects. With Model Colors, you no longer have to worry about buying the wrong colors or forgetting to purchase the specific shade you need. This application allows you to easily manage the colors you already own and the ones you still need to buy.

The app features comprehensive lists of colors from various popular brands, including over 31,000 colors from both major and boutique manufacturers. You can browse these lists to identify the colors you already have or the ones you need to add to your collection. Additionally, you can share your personal color lists via email or iMessage.

If you often use specific color types or individual shades, Model Colors offers a convenient favorites feature that allows you to mark and access them quickly from the main menu. Additionally, the app provides tools for finding colors similar to a particular shade using either color standards like FS, RAL, RLM, or industry standard CIE deltaE 2000 calculations.

To enhance organization and accessibility, Model Colors allows you to create custom color lists by grouping together related shades. For example, you can have separate lists for colors used in US airplanes and fantasy miniatures, making it easier to locate specific shades.

The app currently supports over 20,000 colors and products from more than 50 brands, including well-known names such as Tamiya, Vallejo, Humbrol, AK Interactive, and Testors. Several color standards are also included, such as Reaper, RLM, Revell, and Winsor & Newton.

In addition to managing colors, Model Colors enables you to add and track the models you're working on or planning to build. For each model, you can register the required colors and attach photos and notes. This feature lets you maintain a build diary or simply keep track of tasks and reminders.

To use Model Colors, ensure that iCloud and iCloud Drive are enabled on your device, as the app relies on iCloud Drive for saving photos and model-related documents.

Model Colors offers a voluntary subscription option to support ongoing application development. However, the app can still be used entirely for free.
